Hot Pool

We have been enjoying our neighborhood pool a lot so far this summer. It helps that it's three doors down so we can easily make it there and back. The kids love it. Tripp swims on his own and is now enjoying back/forward flips and diving for various toys. Jack's working on swimming by himself. He can do it but has trouble coming up for a breath and going back under. I now have Charlotte "bubble proof" so she's enjoying "swimming" by herself, and even jumping in. She LOVES swimming. William hangs out with me. He tolerates his flotation devices quite well.

Something strange I cannot figure out- Tripp Jack and Charlotte all have blisters on the bottom of every single toe. Tripp's have bled on several occasions- started bleeding once when he got out of the pool last week and by the time we got home his entire shoe was full of blood. No they don't walk there or back barefoot! No, they're not hanging out on the hot pavement for long (or short) periods of time. For the most part they're in the pool unless they're jumping in. All three wear different kids of shoes so I don't think it's their shoes. I'm at a loss- no clue how they got the blisters (and why they're getting worse).

P. Zoo

Went to the petting zoo today!

Lessons

Miss Katie is nice enough to come to our neighborhood pool and give swimming lessons to the kids each Saturday morning! I think we have Charlotte "bubble proof"!

Swimming w/ Shelley

I had a few "procedures" done this past Friday that left me a little out of it for the day so "Grandma" came over to help and Shelley was nice enough to take the afternoon off to come help with the kids. While Tripp went to a picnic with friends Shelley took Jack and Charlotte swimming at our pool. Thanks for the help!

Lego Camp!

Tripp went to Lego camp last week! They built a city and he had a great time. Here are a few of his masterpieces

Spaghetti

He had his first helping of spaghetti yesterday. The boy loves to eat.

T.R.O.U.B.L.E.

This one is going to be trouble :)
I can already tell. He is busier than ever and never stops until it's time to sleep! So curious yet so sweet.

TEETH!

We've got teeth growing in and teeth about to fall out!

William's 9th tooth just came in and Tripp's bottom two are loose!

Basketball Camp

For an early Fathers Day present T.J. and Tripp headed to Lawrence today for the Parent/Child Bill Self Basketball Camp. It's in Allen Fieldhouse and is an overnight camp so they stay in a dorm. Tripp LOVES it!

Tripp was surprised by several friends being there and is looking forward to having breakfast with some tomorrow! Can't wait to hear about the rest of camp!

Vacation Bible School

Tripp had a wonderful time at Ascension's VBS this week! I worked the "Snack Shack" so was able to see him everyday, which I really enjoyed. He was in the Blue Crew, and played with some old buddies and made some new ones! Can't wait until next year!

Standing Up!

William is officially pulling up and in the beginning stages of cruising (SCARY at 7 months). I found him standing up in his bed earlier this week and it's the same every morning, and now everywhere else!

Bye Atlanta

We headed home on Sunday morning after such a wonderful trip to Atlanta. My trips there are always so bittersweet. Sarah flew home with me, but was in a car accident two days before heading back to KS so she couldn't be the help I was hoping for....but I thanked her because after that flight I'm now confident I can fly alone with all 4. We always wait until everyone else is off to deplane, which proved to be to our advantage this time- the kids (Tripp especially) got a front seat view of the cockpit! The pilot was so nice and showed them all sorts of gears, buttons, etc. They were loving life up there!

GA Aquarium!

While in Atlanta we made a visit to the GA Aquarium. The boys always love it but Pop and I brought Charlotte along as well and she LOVED it! Everything from the jellyfish to the divers...

It just so happened Bryson was visiting the same day! Tripp was so excited!

As always their favorite part was petting the rays and sharks!

Jack

Tripp was photographed by Elliott's Studio in Atlanta in May of 2008, when he was 3 1/2. We have a portrait of him and this past trip to Atlanta we had Jack's pictures taken same outfit (now 3 1/2). I have not seen all of the pictures but here are a few from the shoot.

Domenica also took pictures of the kids and I am SO excited to see them...waiting anxiously!
